Wan 2.7: reference edits, series, and palettes
| Model | Tasks to try | Settings and limits here |
|---|---|---|
| Wan 2.7 | Multi-reference edits, related series, and explicit color ranges and proportions. | Exact size, seed, Palette, candidates, and sequential output; PNG. Follow ratio, pixel, and output-count limits. |
| Wan 2.7 Pro | The same palette/reference/series controls, with larger text-only images where appropriate. | Larger dimensions require no references and non-sequential output. Do not apply those limits to every combination. |
Usage, cautions and actual examples
Enable Palette for three to ten colors. Open a swatch, choose or enter color, and confirm. Type a proportion, then blur or press Enter to distribute the remainder; deleting input or pressing Escape cancels that ratio edit. Proportions total 100%, but the model does not lock every pixel to those colors.
No web search, negative prompt, or manual thinking is currently offered. References, sequences, and size have combined constraints, especially for Pro. Recheck dimensions after changing input.
For a local change, mark a reference area and describe the edit. Region count and model-specific prompt length still apply; a previous model's long draft may exceed Wan's limit.
Adding or deleting palette colors redistributes proportions evenly. Disabling Palette excludes that constraint. Single images and candidates can use Palette, but Sequential cannot use it simultaneously; describe shared colors, subject and each image's change in the prompt. For alternatives to one requirement choose Candidates; each mode has its own size/count conditions.
