AI images: prompts, references, and settings

Generate from text or references and understand capabilities, estimates, and task status.

Prepare your inputs

  1. Open an AI image session. Text-only generation needs no references; for references, choose local files, history, or the available material sources.
  2. Wait for each upload. Retry or remove failures and follow compression confirmation for large files. Canceling selection does not upload local files.
  3. Check reference order and actual image count. A multi-image slot may expand into several images; slot count is not submitted image count.
  4. Explain each reference's role and what to change or retain. Check the current prompt character limit.

Choose settings

SettingMeaning and limits
ModelUse an available model. Registration or upgrade messages concern access; unavailable pricing or incompatible input require separate action.
Ratio or sizeSome models offer ratio and resolution; others use exact dimensions. Follow the displayed controls rather than expecting every model to have the same settings.
Automatic ratioWhen offered, this matches the first reference in the current order to a supported ratio. Replacing or reordering that reference changes the match.
Quality and thinkingOnly supported models expose these, subject to creation entitlements. Higher settings do not guarantee better instruction adherence.
Multiple outputsCandidates from the same settings and sequential image sets are different modes. Choose available counts and modes; estimates include the full output count.
Web and model-specific settingsAvailability depends on the model and connection. Seed, steps, and negative prompts are not universal controls.
Actual generation settings before submission

Check references, prompt, model, and its supported settings. This is a filled draft, not a claimed successful image. Credit estimates may appear separately during submission; current settings and prices take precedence.

Submit and inspect results

Check the credit estimate and, for shared requests, the payer. Submission rechecks capabilities, access, balance, and storage. A displayed estimate is not a payment guarantee.

Queued and generating are ongoing states. Animated progress is not a prediction of remaining time. Completion shows actual returned images; failure shows its reason at the output location.

Saved settings explain that result. Regeneration rechecks current capabilities and entitlements. Continue creating uses a result as new input without overwriting it.
