Image editing: split, transform, annotate, and outpaint

Distinguish deterministic edits from paid AI outpainting while retaining sources and results.

Four tools, different effects

ToolOperationGeneration credits
Grid splitChoose a grid or custom cuts, adjust gaps, select cells, and execute. Pixels in removed gaps are discarded. No generation credits; results still need storage.
TransformCombine cropping, rotation, and horizontal or vertical mirroring. Check dimensions before applying. No generation credits.
AnnotationDraw lines, shapes, arrows, or text into the result. No generation credits.
OutpaintChoose directions, target area, and size for AI scene extension.Uses the configured tool price. Rerunning creates another paid task.

Editing steps

  1. Choose a source image and open its tools or add Image editing at the end of Cards.
  2. Select a tool and adjust settings and preview. Use that tool's undo, redo, or reset when needed.
  3. Explicitly apply or generate with the available action. Annotation drafts are not formal results; local-repaint drafts follow the next chapter.
  4. Check the completed output. It is a new image retaining its source, not an overwritten original. Follow errors before retrying.
Transform preview and execution are separate

Check crop and dimensions before applying. Switching tools or preview settings does not overwrite the original.

One image, four editing intentions

Three-column, two-row split over a vase, cube, and plant
Grid split

Split into several files; pixels in gaps are discarded.

Crop boundary over the tutorial material
Crop

Keep the framed area; AI does not fill outside it.

Red arrow pointing to the cube
Annotation

The arrow is drawn into the saved result, not an AI edit region.

Extended area around the tutorial material
Outpaint

AI creates additional scene beyond the original extent.

Original AI-created tutorial material. Lines, boxes, and arrows are explanatory overlays, not screenshots or generated outcomes.

Outpaint considerations

Outpaint is not mechanical border filling. AI may adjust composition and the source area for continuity; original pixels are not guaranteed unchanged.

It uses the site's configured tool capability and price, not necessarily the source image's model. Confirm size, estimate, and availability before submitting.
