Limits to know before use

Check sharing counts, recovery periods, and canvas size. Dynamic model and membership limits appear in the relevant operation.

Current product rules at a glance

ItemCurrent ruleCommon misunderstanding
Share records per canvasAt most 20, including active, disabled, and expired history.Disabling or expiry does not free a record slot.
Person-specific rules per canvasAt most 200, applying across that canvas's links. Not 200 per link, nor a guarantee of simultaneous online participants.
Simultaneous editors per canvasUp to 10: one reserved owner seat and nine other accounts, shared across links and both views. When full, visitors can still view; online waiters are promoted in arrival order. Multiple windows from one account count once.
Nodes per canvasAt most 1,500 nodes not permanently cleared.Nodes in Trash count; ordinary deletion does not free this limit.
Canvas and session recoveryCurrent recovery window: seven days.Clearing or expiry ends user recovery.
Recently removed inspirationView-only records kept seven days; not restorable. This is not a recoverable Trash.
Guest contentStandard lifetime: 180 days from creation; standard storage: 50 MiB.Returning does not restart the lifetime. Actual trial messages take precedence.
Large local imagesCompression confirmation above 7 MiB.This is a pre-upload threshold, not proof the compressed image meets every requirement.

Do not judge these limits from old screenshots

  • Models, references, output counts, specifications, thinking, concurrency, and queues depend on the current model, membership, and availability.
  • Credit prices and storage follow the operation, subscription, and settings pages. Language, card layout, and screen width do not increase allowances.
  • Shared canvases use the owner's creation entitlements and storage, even when a participant pays personally.
  • Submission rechecks permissions, credits, and storage. Something available a few minutes ago may no longer be available, especially during collaboration.

Before submitting, deleting, or sharing

  1. Check uploaded references, complete prompt, output count, estimate, and payer before submission.
  2. Read the target name, downstream scope, and recoverability before deletion. Download needed originals first.
  3. Check permissions, people, resources, expiry, and budget before sharing. Copy the public share link, not your internal sidebar URL.
