Ideogram 4.0: single references and preset sizes
| Model | Tasks to try | Settings and limits here |
|---|---|---|
| Ideogram 4.0 | Posters, advertisements, packaging, titles, and layouts; reference modification around one source image. | Preset dimensions, Turbo/Standard/High quality, PNG, and one reference. No custom dimensions, seed, transparency, or sequential images. |
Usage, cautions and actual examples
Quote text that must appear and describe hierarchy, position, and background. Proofread long text, small lettering, and proper names. There is no dedicated typography control or zero-error guarantee.
No web search, manual thinking, or separate negative prompt is offered. Choose a multi-reference model rather than add multiple sources to this input. Use deterministic tools for exact cropping and visible annotation.
For a title poster, choose dimensions, quote the exact heading, and describe subject and text areas. Verify spelling/layout before comparing quality tiers; quality does not replace proofreading.

Ideogram 4.5
4.5 accepts at most 4 reference images: the first is the image to edit and up to 3 others are auxiliary references. Use the existing order to put the base first. Number images in your prompt by their displayed order; text alone cannot select another base image.
Apply local edit marks only to the first image; output keeps the base dimensions. Marks cannot cover the entire image and their bounding box must not exceed the pixel area of 2048×2048. Low/medium/high quality and PNG are offered. 4.0 and 4.5 support up to 8 candidates, including reference modifications and the local edits described here. Account limits still apply; billing follows the images actually delivered. High-quality costs differ with and without references; check the current estimate.
P-Image Ideogram
P-Image Ideogram is text-to-image only: no references or local edit marks. It offers five qualities, 1K/2K and custom dimensions, seed, Magic Prompt and up to 8 candidates. Magic Prompt is off by default. Size and count remain subject to account access; check the current credit estimate before submitting.
Background removal and upscaling
On the canvas, choose background removal or upscaling from Image tools on an image node. In card mode, create an AI image editing card, add an image, then choose the tool in its tool selector. Background removal returns a transparent PNG with a checkerboard preview; downloads retain transparency. Background replacement and a mask brush are not offered. The original remains unchanged; availability follows the current tool state.
Available upscale factors and output-size limits follow the current tool. Face enhancement is off by default, with optional strength and creativity controls. Automatic advanced settings omit the value rather than send zero. Upscaling may change details and does not guarantee pixel-perfect preservation. Check the current credit estimate before submitting or running again; do not infer the price from the factor or dimensions alone.
